“Stay hungry, stay foolish.”
“Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.”
“My favorite things in life don’t cost any money. It’s really clear that the most precious resource we all have is time.”
“My model for business is The Beatles. They were four guys who kept each other’s kind of negative tendencies in check. They balanced each other, and the total was greater than the sum of the parts. That’s how I see business: Great things in business are never done by one person, they’re done by a team of people.”
“Noah Kagan is the founder of AppSumo, an online startup focused on building tools to help entrepreneurs. Before that, he was an early employee at both Facebook and Mint. But that’s not what’s inspiring about Noah. Rather, it’s what he does on the side of his regular day job at AppSumo – it’s his side hustles (well, for full disclosure, they were case studies for his main job).
One of the side hustles he’s most famous for (and young entrepreneurs will find the most inspiring), is the 24 hour business challenge, where he challenged himself to start a $1,000 business in 24 hours. Not only is he able to do it, he also teaches and show you how to do it. For any college student or millennial entrepreneur, this is the actionable content that will help drive success. The bottom line is that Noah Kagan proves that there is no reason you can’t start a business today.” – Forbes
“The first step is to establish that something is possible; then probability will occur.”
“My biggest mistake is probably weighing too much on someone’s talent and not someone’s personality. I think it matters whether someone has a good heart.”
“Ryan Holiday is an American author, writer, and marketer. He is the media strategist behind authors Tucker Max and Robert Greene, the former Director of Marketing for American Apparel and an editor-at-large for the New York Observer.” – Wikipedia
Ryan Holiday was the key motivator behind the onset of my interest in marketing and becoming an entrepreneur. Having just graduated from college and needing new inspiration to guide me towards the right career path I decided to read a marketing book, Growth Hacker Marketing by Ryan Holiday. Keep in my mind I had zero background in marketing. From the first page I was hooked. Ryan’s perception of the effects of growing technology and social networking on the marketing and advertising industry was eye-opening and extremely intuitive. The book really expounded the psychology involved in marketing and how extremely detail oriented the whole process is. This book inspired me to develop the iPhone/Android app I am currently working on. It allowed me to discover my true passion for marketing, branding, and overall technological growth.
In my research of social media as a marketing tool, I have found many Instagram blog accounts that I find inspiring and motivating. They utilize good photography, proper color schemes, photo staging, scenery, and product placement. Here are few examples of my favorite accounts.
